Friendly and experienced Piano Tuning and Piano Repair service

Having spent over 40 years as a professional musician starting with classical training on piano at the age of 5, and later playing the oboe from the age of 11, I have always been fascinated by the many aspects of tuning. from the 'A' that the oboe gives to the orchestra to the curious old piano tuner who tuned our family piano when I was 10, and held a piece of paper up to my confused mother saying he was both deaf and mute!

Although I sometimes regret not having done this many years earlier, my training at Newark College under the brilliant Mr John Lord has been an amazing learning curve, and I'm proud to be a part of an association of piano tuners that goes back beyond a century to the almost long gone days of real and highly skilled craftsmanship that seems a far cry from the relative plastic and disposable world we live in today.

It is from this old world of skills and craftsmanship that my respect and love of the piano stems, along with my dedication to music as a
performing professional, and all of this adds detail to the kind of attention and quality that I expect of myself and expect to leave with my many customers.
